The Ocean Mat by Southern Shores consists of the following ingredients:
- 1.9kg FSC certified Öko natural rubber
- 400g recycled natural rubber
- 120g cotton (ök organically grown)
Southern Shores uses für the slip resistance, wearability and damping different techniques. The natural rubber used, which is a naturally degradable resource, forms it äere layer to optimize the slip resistance. High durability is created by a fabric made from sustainably grown cotton, which is inside the yoga mat. Through the use of high temperatures, this fabric is bonded to the outside. This eliminates the use of toxic adhesives. Finally, a second layer of natural rubber in the Ocean Mat provides improved damping. In the lower layer are production residues of the rubber industry, which are thus preserved from the Müll.

Care of the Ocean Mat
For optimal care and use of your Ocean Mat, you should make sure to have short-cut feet and avoid sharp-edged objects on the mat. After each use you should wipe your Ocean Mat, preferably at least once a week with a damp cloth, so that you can let it dry well afterwards.
You should avoid using soap or other chemical cleaning agents. If you need a more intensive care, Southern Shores recommends the use of a vinegar-water solution in a ratio of 1:3, which you can mix yourself.
Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause your Ocean Mat to become porous. Furthermore, you should not shower off your Ocean Mat, otherwise rubber can dissolve.
